Floral West German Vase

A 1950s vase made by Bay-Keramik, model number 660-25 which can be seen on the bottom. This vase features a floral motif across the golden coloured glaze sections, and the darker matt brown sits on textured ceramic. This little vase would look fabulous in an autumnal display.

Bay-Keramik were a pottery studio based in Ransbach Baumbach, West Germany, and are arguably the most famous of this era. Founded in 1933 by Eduard Bay, the company produced mainly utilitarian pottery but branched into decorative items in the 1950s and continued to produce pottery until the 1980s.
