Encased in a black wooden frame, is this original 150th anniversary poster for the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, dating from 1980. The poster is advertising ‘The Great Railway Exposition’ which was a 6 week birthday celebration, full of exciting events between 2nd August – 14th September 1980. The Liverpool and Manchester Railway was founded in 1830 and they were the world’s first passenger railway, with the Duke of Wellington made the inaugural journey.
