Small oil painting of a young female in a gold gilt frame, dating from the late 1800s. It has been painted on to canvas purchased from Cecil William Wood, of 108 Brompton Road, London, who were founded in 1861. The frame is made from carved wood with gold gilding, and there is a signature on the back of ‘M. Giles’, however we have been unable to verify who this is. Please note that the canvas has a small hole towards the bottom right, however the rest of the painting is in lovely condition. This beautiful little painting would look gorgeous sitting on a mantelpiece.
