An unusual West German handled vase, made by Steuler in the 1960s, featuring a heavily textured glaze in brown and yellow tones. The base of the vase has the model number, 141-20, and the Steuler’s makers mark.
The Steuler company was founded in Gohr-Grenzhausen by George Steuler in 1908, and started producing ceramics in 1917. Cari Zalloni and Heiner Balzaar were two of Steulers best known designers.
