1930s Military Trunk

A unique trunk used by Major D. O. Hood of the Command Pay Office in World War 2. Many of the original labels remain on the surface of the trunk, providing a fantastic sense of history. The trunk retains it’s original floral lining paper to the inside, parts of which are have some minor damage. The trunk has the original lock made by USA Excelsior, model Stamford Conn 5985, but the key is unfortunately missing. Major D. O. Hood is believed to have lived in the Oxfordshire area, however we have been unable to verify this.

The item may have some wear, including scratches / marks, in keeping with it’s age – please review the photos carefully and contact us for more information prior to purchase if this is of concern to you.
